Privacy policy
What we do with what you tell us.
The short version: what you send this office stays in this office. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we do not share it with anyone without your consent — except where the law requires it. We use it to work out whether we can help you, and then to help you.

Who this covers
This policy covers meribelawfirm.com and the client intake form reached through it. It is written for people thinking about hiring this firm. If you are already a client, your file is governed by your retainer agreement and by the rules of professional conduct, which are stricter than anything on this page.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form, or send us by email or telephone. Depending on the form, that is your name, your telephone number, your email address, and what you choose to tell us about your matter — how you were injured, when it happened, the property you are buying or selling, who else was involved.
The form is a Google Form, so submissions are stored in this firm's Google account. Google processes them as our service provider under its own terms.
This website itself sets no tracking cookies, runs no advertising pixels, and builds no profile of you. It loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request your browser makes for those font files.
What we do with it
We read it, and we use it to decide whether this firm can take your matter and how to reach you about it. If we take your case, the information becomes part of your file and is used to pursue your claim — which may mean sending it to an insurer, an adverse party, a court, a doctor or an expert, in the ordinary course of representing you. That is what you retain us to do.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketers. We do not send you mail you did not ask for.
When we would share it
Without your consent, only in these situations:
- Where a court order, a subpoena or the law requires disclosure.
- Where the rules of professional conduct permit or require it — for example, to check whether representing you would conflict with an existing client.
- With the service providers that keep this practice running, such as Google for form submissions and email. They may handle the information only to provide that service to us.
Everything else needs your say-so.
Before you are a client
Sending a form does not make you a client of this firm, and it does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship. That begins when we have both signed a written agreement of representation. We still treat what you send as confidential from the moment it arrives.
Because it is not yet a privileged communication, please do not send anything through this website that would be damaging in someone else's hands. Tell us enough to understand your situation. The details can wait for the meeting.
How long we keep it
If we take your matter, your file is kept for as long as New Jersey record-keeping rules require, and then disposed of securely. If we do not take it, we keep the inquiry only as long as we need it to run a conflicts check and to answer you. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Asking us about your information
You can ask what this office holds about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (973) 736-3033 or write to mcmpclaw@gmail.com and say what you want. We will tell you what we can do and, if we cannot do it, why.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through it. Where a claim is brought on behalf of a minor, that information reaches us from a parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be described plainly rather than buried.
